Clinical Laboratory Technologist -Trainee - Extractions
$26 - $36 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a trainee technologist for its molecular diagnostics laboratory in Westborough, Massachusetts. The role involves performing DNA extractions, operating laboratory instrumentation, and maintaining documentation. Full training is provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process patient samples for molecular extractions
- Perform automated and manual DNA extractions following standard operating procedures
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Assist with specimen processing and workflow management within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Preferred: 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience
- Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
