Position SummaryThe General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and professional appearance of Class A commercial office properties. This role supports a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and building staff through detailed cleaning practices, safe chemical handling, and a customer service-focused approach.Essential ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain lobbies, offices, conference rooms, corridors, elevators, stairwells, and common areasVacuum carpets; sweep, mop, and maintain hard surface flooringClean and sanitize restrooms and replenish suppliesEmpty trash and recycling receptaclesDust surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and ledgesClean interior glass and high-touch surfacesMaintain breakrooms and tenant amenity areasSafely use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA, SDS, and company safety guidelinesUtilize proper PPE and follow safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents and exposure risksIdentify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment immediatelyDeliver professional, courteous, and responsive customer service to tenants, guests, and property management teamsQualificationsPrevious commercial cleaning experience is A MUSTStrong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety proceduresCommitment to workplace safety and quality standardsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and maintain professionalism in occupied office environmentsPre-Employment Screening RequirementsCriminal History Background CheckDrug ScreenEssential Duties & Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work in a commercial environment. Essential duties may include standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; and operating cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively. Employees may work in varying indoor conditions, around cleaning chemicals, noise, dust, and high-traffic areas.
