Activity Bus Driver/Substitute Bus Driver

This position is on an as-needed basis. Activity Driver transports students to and from school and related functions in a safe and timely manner. Inspects and maintains the school bus to ensure proper operating condition.

Qualifications include the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be licensed in accordance with Missouri statutes
• Requires 2-5 years of job-related prior experience

Essential job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Interacting with students, parents and school personnel
• Operation of school bus on routes and activity trips
• Interprets routes and maps
• Anticipates and analyzes road conditions and hazards
• Will be trained by Transportation Department prior to being placed on the job.
