Financial Analyst

Location Columbia City, IN Parkview Whitley Hospital Summary Reporting to both operational and financial leadership, the role is highly involved in providing and analyzing data that will impact process improvements and efficiencies across multiple markets. The work is primarily onsite at Parkview Whitley, with occasional work at Parkview Kosciusko and Parkview Huntington. The incumbent performs internal and external financial reporting functions, analyzes routine and complex financial transactions at the general ledger or operational system level (such as Strata, Decision Support, and EPIC), and reports to management in financial statement or management reporting formats. The position requires extensive data handling, database work, and the ability to interpret, validate, and articulate results, including reconciling sub-systems and balance sheet accounts, resolving variances, and proposing control and process strengthening initiatives. Education Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial accounting or analyst experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or another quantitative field. CPA certification is a plus. Experience Minimum of three years of public accounting audit experience or five years of private accounting, finance, or operations analysis experience—preferably in a healthcare (hospital/physician) setting—demonstrating the ability to analyze financial statements and benchmarks. The candidate must thrive in a fast‑pace environment, exhibit strong analytical and accounting skills, and possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Independent work, adaptability to leadership, and emerging leadership skills are required, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks from multiple clients simultaneously. Proficiency in data gathering, organizing, analysis, and communication is essential, as is a strong attention to detail. The role demands high motivation, productivity, self‑stimulation, and results orientation. Knowledge of third‑party payer reimbursement, coding, and documentation requirements is helpful.
