Direct Hire Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal

$75,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois

LHH Recruitment Solutions is anticipating open positions with our clients who are looking for experienced Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegals. These clients are sophisticated law firms in the area. Many of our clients offer very competitive salaries, full benefits packages, and reasonable annual billable hour requirements.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of litigation experience with a particular focus in the Medical Malpractice space. (Candidates with both plaintiff and defense based medical malpractice experience are preferred.)
  • Proactive, flexible, with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and legal case management software
  • Bachelors Degree and/or an A.B.A. approved Paralegal Certificate.
Duties:
  • Managing litigation matters from start to finish
  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents including notices, pleadings, discovery documents, subpoenas, exhibit lists, etc.
  • Handling discovery and document production
  • Summarizing depositions, ordering medical records, and summarizing medical records.
  • Assisting attorneys with trial preparation and case management
  • Conducting legal research as assigned
  • Other tasks as assigned
