Position Summary
Mercy Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dependable Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide 24-hour call coverage in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. This role offers flexibility while supporting a high-quality surgical anesthesia program dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Schedule & Call Requirements
- 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Minimum 8 hours required in-house coverage
- Remaining on-call hours taken off-site
- Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes while on call
- Flexible per diem scheduling based on departmental needs
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for surgical cases only
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations
- Respond promptly to emergency and after-hours surgical anesthesia needs
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and perioperative teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Deliver safe, evidence-based anesthesia care in compliance with hospital standards
Qualifications
- Current certification as a CRNA
- Active California RN and APRN licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Prior hospital-based surgical anesthesia experience preferred
