Regional Account Manager

Overview I am seeking an experienced Regional Account Manager to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service within the commercial roofing and exterior renovation sector. This role is responsible for developing and managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the delivery of commercial roofing, re-roofing, repair, maintenance, and exterior renovation solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong business development skills with a consultative sales approach, working closely with operational teams to achieve revenue and margin objectives while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Business Development Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with business objectives. Identify, develop, and nurture key accounts with significant long-term growth potential. Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, facility managers, asset managers, contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders. Maintain a thorough understanding of customer needs, asset portfolios, and decision-making processes. Identify opportunities for commercial roofing projects, re-roofing programmes, repairs, preventative maintenance, exterior restoration, building envelope improvements, and ongoing service agreements. Generate and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and client engagement. Respond to requests for proposals and prepare professional, value-driven solutions tailored to client requirements. Conduct site assessments to evaluate roofing systems and exterior building conditions, developing accurate recommendations and project scopes. Consistently follow up on opportunities and proposals to secure successful outcomes. Revenue & Performance Management Establish and achieve revenue, margin, and strategic account development goals. Develop short- and long-term action plans to support business growth objectives. Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance accurately. Maintain visibility of active opportunities and provide regular pipeline updates. Attend internal review meetings to monitor project progress, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Project & Customer Coordination Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure projects are scheduled and delivered in line with customer expectations. Facilitate contract administration, warranty requirements, and project documentation as needed. Manage change requests and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders. Verify project completion standards and ensure customer satisfaction following delivery. Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries. Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, maintenance requirements, capital planning initiatives, and future opportunities. Identify and resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively. Develop initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction before, during, and after project completion. Represent the organisation with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset. Work closely with colleagues across sales, operations, estimating, and support functions to achieve shared objectives. Support strategic and national accounts where required. Share best practices and contribute positively to a collaborative sales culture. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer developments to identify opportunities and risks. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance sales and account management capabilities. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in account management, business development, or consultative sales. Experience within commercial roofing, exterior renovation, building envelope, construction services, facilities management, or a related industry is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success achieving revenue, growth, and profitability targets. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to identify customer needs and develop tailored roofing, maintenance, restoration, and capital improvement solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal development abilities. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and business objectives. Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Additional Qualifications An existing book of business and established industry relationships within commercial roofing, exterior renovation, building envelope, construction, or facilities management is strongly preferred. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a history of generating revenue through existing client relationships, referral networks, and strategic account development. Proven success in leveraging professional networks to develop new business opportunities and accelerate territory growth. Ability to develop long-term client partnerships while continuously identifying opportunities to expand market share and account penetration.
