Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work in a unit comprised of 101 beds with patient ratios typically of 4:1, and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. The role requires a commitment to teamwork and flexibility to float to various sections within the ED as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care while ensuring effective communication using the AIDET framework.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner documentation system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Operate medical equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be obtained before starting date), and ENPC within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
