Web Developer

Location: Tulsa, OK — On-site or Hybrid Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time The Opportunity A global manufacturer and distributor is making a significant investment in its digital future and is hiring a Senior Web Applications Developer to lead it. This is not a maintenance role. This is a technical ownership position . You'll lead a ground-up website redesign, architect customer-facing e-commerce capabilities, and own the broader web application ecosystem, including integrations across ERP, DAM, and other enterprise systems. What You'll Do Serve as the technical owner and primary decision-maker for the web application ecosystem Lead the full redesign and modernization of the public-facing website and customer experience Establish development standards, maintain architectural documentation, and shape the technical roadmap Design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with long-term business goals E-Commerce & Customer Experience Architect and build e-commerce functionality including product catalog, configurators, cart, and checkout Deliver high-quality, responsive, and performant user experiences across devices Partner closely with UX and business stakeholders to execute on customer-facing solutions Integration & Data Systems Design and maintain integrations across enterprise systems including Oracle ERP, WMS, CRM, EDI, API, and DAM Build and support RESTful APIs , data models, and database structures Ensure data integrity, transaction reliability, and error handling across systems Engineering Leadership Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other developers Review code and enforce standards for quality, security, and performance Own CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycle best practices Provide estimation, feasibility analysis, and solution design guidance Performance, Security & Reliability Define and execute performance optimization strategies, including load testing Enforce secure coding practices and ensure compliance with data privacy standards Build systems that are stable, scalable, and built to last What We're Looking For Core Requirements 5+ years of web development experience (front-end and/or full-stack) Experience in a technical leadership or ownership role Ruby on Rails REST APIs SQL and database design Experience integrating with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) Solid understanding of data integration patterns and system architecture Nice to Have Experience building e-commerce platforms or product configurators Background in manufacturing or distribution environments Familiarity with pricing models, order workflows, and catalog systems Experience with EDI integrations Exposure to AWS or modern cloud environments Knowledge of payment processing and secure transactions How You Work Comfortable operating at the intersection of business and technology Strong problem-solver who can own challenges end-to-end Clear communicator — in code, documentation, and collaboration Thrives in a cross-functional, evolving environment Takes pride in building systems that are scalable, clean, and durable Why This Role True ownership of a company's digital platform — not a ticket queue Opportunity to lead a major digital transformation initiative Direct impact on a global customer experience Work alongside leadership, UX, and business stakeholders Stable, established company investing heavily in modern capabilities Long-term growth as the platform and team expand About the Client Our client is an established manufacturer and distributor with a global customer base and a reputation built on quality and reliability.
