Sleep Medicine Physician

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sleep Medicine Physician to join its expanding multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine team in Roanoke, VA. This role involves providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a full spectrum of sleep disorders in adults, with the option to include pediatric patients. The physician will engage in both outpatient clinic work and interpretation of sleep studies within Carilion's AASM-accredited sleep centers, collaborating closely with various specialty services. Practice Info Multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine team Outpatient clinic work Interpretation of sleep studies within Carilion's AASM-accredited sleep centers Collaboration with primary care, neurology, pulmonology, psychiatry, and other specialty services Physician-led, academically affiliated health system Responsibilities Provide clinical care for patients with sleep-related conditions, including insomnia, sleep apnea, hypersomnia, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, and movement-related sleep disturbances Interpret sleep studies (PSG, HSAT, MSLT, MWT) and provide timely consultative reports Participate in multidisciplinary collaborations and care pathways to optimize sleep health across the system Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EPIC) in accordance with Carilion standards Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development Optional participation in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Engage in continuing education and remain current with Sleep Medicine best practices and AASM guidelines Compensation Min Starting Salary: $395,000 Max Starting Salary: $559,000 Additional annual compensation from bonus programs is available Benefits Benefits and pension completing the total rewards package Competitive benefits package Relocation assistance CME support Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, or related specialty Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Sleep Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia Strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
