About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Location

Spokane, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | On-call required approximately 1x/week and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in on a wide variety of surgical procedures, with an emphasis on cardiovascular cases
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional weekend on-call coverage
• Document and chart using Epic electronic health record system
• Adhere to facility protocols, scheduling commitments, and holiday coverage requirements, including working 3 of 5 designated holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Surgical Technologist license must be in hand at time of submission
• NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience
• Ability to scrub a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a different rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotic surgical experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
