Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position. Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday required.

The Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients primarily with neurological diagnoses, while also supporting a telemetry overflow unit. Candidates will be expected to utilize their skills and experience in neurology and telemetry nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient progress
• Provide telemetry monitoring and neuro assessments
• Assist in managing a variety of neurological and medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of neurology and medical/surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Maryland or compact RN license required at the time of submission
