Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Execute a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, explaining procedures empathetically and clearly.
• Work in close coordination with radiologists and referring doctors to produce high-caliber diagnostic images.
• Manage the operation and upkeep of ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions quickly.
• Thoroughly document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
• Stay knowledgeable about the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices.

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred.

Certifications Required

• Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or its equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred.
