Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Otolaryngologist for two defined locum tenens coverage blocks in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

This is a well-supported general ENT opportunity combining a manageable weekday clinic schedule with hospital consult coverage, limited scheduled surgical cases, and pager call. The clinical scope is primarily general Otolaryngology rather than significant facial trauma, with approximately 16 clinic patients per day and reportedly minimal patient calls and callbacks while on call.

Physicians will join an established regional ENT practice supported by nursing, audiology, and additional clinical resources, with Epic EMR and a modern hospital environment.

Coverage Dates

Current coverage is needed for:

• September 13–21, 2026
• October 12–19, 2026

Physicians available for either or both coverage blocks are encouraged to apply.

Schedule & Call

Monday–Friday

• Clinic: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Approximately 16 patients per day
• Physician remains available for hospital ENT consults while in clinic
• Night call via pager following clinic

Saturday–Sunday

• 24-hour pager call
• Weekend call includes 4 gratis hours

Patient calls and callbacks are reported to be minimal.

Depending on scheduled surgical volume, the physician may spend a weekday in the OR rather than clinic.

Clinical Practice

The clinical emphasis is general Otolaryngology across both adult and pediatric populations .

The locum physician will provide outpatient ENT care, respond to hospital consultations, manage appropriate inpatient ENT needs, and provide scheduled surgical care when cases are planned during the coverage period.

The client has specifically indicated that the locum physician will not be expected to manage significant facial trauma .

Typical responsibilities include:

• Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric ENT patients
• Manage general ear, nose, throat, and upper airway presentations
• Provide hospital-based ENT consultations
• Perform appropriate general ENT procedures within credentialed scope
• Participate in scheduled surgical cases when applicable
• Respond to clinically appropriate after-hours calls
• Coordinate care with nursing, audiology, surgical, and hospital teams
• Complete clinical documentation within Epic

Practice Environment & Support

The physician will enter an established ENT environment rather than an unsupported solo practice.

• 1 Registered Nurse
• 2 Licensed Practical Nurses
• 2 Registration Specialists
• Audiology Support
• Epic EMR

The broader regional program provides access to established ENT, audiology, surgical, and hospital resources.

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Otolaryngology or truly Board Eligible within 3 years of residency completion
• Non-boarded physicians outside the defined Board Eligible window will not be considered
• Must be comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients
• General ENT clinical and surgical competency
• Ability to participate in weekday and weekend pager call
• Active North Dakota license, IMLC eligibility, or qualifying licensure pathway
• Candidates requiring standard licensure without IMLC eligibility cannot be presented
• Clean professional background required
• No pending malpractice cases
• Ability to complete approximately 45-day credentialing process
