Job TitleProject ManagerJob SummaryReporting to the Managing Director, Human Health and Well-being (HHWB) Impact Theme Year, you will lead the management and execution of projects related to the HHWB theme year. These projects will include campus-wide events, internal grant programs, and stakeholder engagement. This engagement will span across all three U-M campuses. You will drive key initiatives focused on building a vibrant health-conscious culture. These programs will also promote whole-person mental health, advance health equity, support interprofessional education, and translate health sciences research into real-world impact.Note: This hybrid role is a term-limited position ending in August 2028, with potential for extension based on business needs, continued funding, and performance.ResponsibilitiesLead delivery of complex, cross-disciplinary health and well-being projects, defining scope, schedules, resource needs, and deliverables.Assemble and lead project teams across U-M schools, colleges, Michigan Medicine, administrative units, and statewide community partners.Administer internal competitive grant programs, including application intake, review processes, award disbursements, and progress reporting.Apply project management best practices to monitor milestone progress, resolve new issues, and maintain project standards.Oversee end-to-end event management for forums, workshops, showcases, speaker series, and campus convenings across all three U-M campuses.Handle event logistics including venue sourcing, speaker arrangements, vendor contracting, day-of coordination, and post-event evaluation.Develop durable event workflows, templates, and checklists to improve repeat planning across programs.Build collaborative, co-creative relationships across academic units, health systems, and statewide community groups.Draft high-quality project briefs, leadership updates, and promotional content to support digital outreach and community engagement.Connect existing physical, mental, and social well-being efforts across campus to improve access and maximize collective impact.Collaborate with evaluation teams to collect programmatic data, track shared metrics, and prepare executive impact reports.Maintain project documentation, assist with budget tracking, and provide functional task direction to administrative support staff.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, education, or public health, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.Minimum of 2+ professional years of experience in full lifecycle project or program management, including project planning, implementation, monitoring, valuation, and closeout for a complex organization.Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and multiple concurrent workstreams.Knowledge of events management and coordination.Demonstrated ability to use project-management and collaborative platforms to maintain work plans, schedules, documentation, and stakeholder communications.Modes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
