Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,238 per week

Position Overview TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking an OR RN (Operating Room) for a travel nursing assignment in Brighton, Massachusetts. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week during 12‑hour day shifts. Responsibilities Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education. Serve as the communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team. Ensure correct procedure(s) performed on correct patient. Initiate patient education plan, teach patients and families medication and home‑care management. Provide basic bedside care. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions. Respond to comfort and safety needs of patient. Handle accurate care and handling of specimens. Monitor equipment used during surgery. Inventory of surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure. For Scrub OR Nurses: select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures. For RN First Assistant: assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care, help control bleeding, suture patients following surgery. Qualifications & Requirements RN license. BLS certification. 1–2 years recent acute‑care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant. Ready to stand, walk, lean, stoop for long periods, lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb sometimes. Ability to handle hazards of exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases. Additional certifications may be required before assignment starts. Compensation Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
