Job Description
The Cerakote Applicator applies ceramic coatings to firearms and components using an HVLP spray gun in batch and combination production workflows. Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, this role owns projects from application through inspection and rework while maintaining precise finishes, safe work practices, and properly maintained equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare firearm surfaces and components for coating.
- Apply Cerakote using an HVLP spray gun.
- Match colors accurately to specifications.
- Perform masking and plugging to protect designated areas.
- Operate and monitor curing equipment and cure cycles.
- Inspect finished coatings for quality and consistency.
- Correct coating defects and complete required rework.
- Maintain application equipment and comply with workplace safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Cerakote application.
- Surface preparation skills.
- HVLP spray gun operation experience.
- Color matching ability.
- Masking and plugging techniques.
- Familiarity with curing equipment.
- Quality inspection skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in ceramic coating application.
