Senior Embedded Software EngineerTrillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for direct-hire in Camarillo!We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will be developing and verifying complex digital designs for use in spaceborne products across our commercial and defense programs. Must be a self-starter & team player who can take ownership of a project from design to deployment under a rapid pace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of embedded software and related digital designs in system-on-chip (SOC) devices as part of the productsInterface with senior engineers to implement communication protocols, data handling, and system management in an embedded ARM CORTEX processor environmentPerform trade studies to identify functions that can be purchased as third-party intellectual property (IP) versus internal developmentAssist in creating embedded architecture, performing trade studies to determine which functions should be executed within the embedded processor, which should be implemented in programmable logic fabric, and how to interface between the two domainsMaintain code base in the company's version control systemDevelop software and hardware test fixtures to verify the functionality of the embedded code and the overall systemPerform bench-level verification of the implemented code in the final system, and assist with test of the overall productThe company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, HSA and voluntary insurance plans such as accident, hospital and critical illness, a 401k with company match. They have a 9/80 workweek that provides employees with every other Friday off.Annual salary is $140,000.00 - $185,000.00 / year. Possible relocation assistance for the right candidate. Position is located in beautiful Ventura County / South Central Coast of California.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer scienceExpertise with embedded software design for ARM CORTEX or similar systemsExpertise in Python and C languageExperience with embedded Linux developmentStrong knowledge of implementing UDP/IP networking over Ethernet interface.Experience with the AMD/Xilinx family of devices and tools, including Vivado and Vitis softwareStrong proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft ExcelStrong written and verbal English communication skillsStrong analytical and excellent problem-solving skillsDesired:3+ years of relevant industry experienceExperience designing high-sample-rate communication and/or signal processing systems in embedded devicesExperience with revision control tools such as Git, MercurialKnowledge of digital design using the VHDL languageKnowledge of sampling theory, digital signal processing, and spectral analysisProficiency with MATLAB softwareTrillium has been recruiting and placing accounting, finance and technical professionals for over 30 years.
