PE Special Inspector

Ancora Engineering + Architecture is an engineering firm based in the New York City metropolitan area specializing in design and consulting services for the construction industry. Our expertise includes demolition and partial demolition, alterations, geotechnical investigations and geo-structural work, excavation and foundation systems, new building structural design, structural stability assessments and remediation, legal and expert witness services, owner’s technical representation, quality control, special inspections, and more. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an ICC Special Inspector at Ancora Engineering + Architecture. The Special Inspector will be responsible for: Performing inspections, testing, and evaluations on construction projects Ensuring compliance with NYC building codes, regulations, and project specifications Conducting site visits and documenting findings Reviewing construction plans and technical documents Preparing clear, accurate inspection reports Communicating effectively with project stakeholders in a timely manner Qualifications ICC Special Inspector certifications required Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations Experience performing inspections and testing on construction projects Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment Relevant experience in the NYC construction industry preferred We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage HRA and FSA options 401(k) with employer contribution and profit sharing Paid time off Short-term and long-term disability coverage Overtime pay in accordance with company policy Additional Information We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
