Operating Room Registered Nurse

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is tailored for experienced Operating Room RNs who thrive in dynamic, high-acuity settings, offering exposure to a broad array of specialties and cutting-edge procedures. Schedule & Hours 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 36 hours per week Weekend rotation: Every 4th weekend (coverage may be through call or scheduled shifts) Call requirement: Average 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, 45-minute response time, with call times including nights and weekends 75% holiday coverage expected Required Qualifications & Experience Active RN license and current BLS Minimum of 5 years of recent OR RN experience Experience circulating in trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joints, spine, vascular, GYN, robotics, and other complex cases CNOR certification preferred (not mandatory) Strong adaptability, independent initiative, and the ability to accommodate emergent case requests First-time travelers will not be considered Role Responsibilities Circulate and manage a high volume of complex surgical procedures within a 19-suite operating department, including specialties such as bariatrics, advanced spine, ortho, and cardiac Collaborate closely with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary OR staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care Participate in department call rotation and demonstrate flexibility supporting perioperative needs during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Maintain proficiency in both laparoscopic and open procedures; scrubbing skills for night contracts are beneficial Support and mentor team members, contributing to a collaborative professional environment Facility Perks Uniforms provided Free parking Comprehensive orientation Culture centered on teamwork and excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
