Quality Control TechnicianThalle Construction Co., Inc. (“Thalle”) is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to support our project in Clayton, NC. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for full inspection of products and installation to ensure compliance with the contract plans and specifications. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Quality Control Manager.Thalle, established in 1947, is a heavy civil construction company with a corporate office in Hillsborough, NC and a regional office in Alvarado, Texas. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.Thalle is an Equal Opportunity Employer, E-Verify and Drug Free Workplace.Location: Clayton, North CarolinaDuties and Responsibilities:Responsible for overall quality control (QC) of the project.Assist with implementation of Project QA/QC Program and monitor for compliance.Review and understand contract specifications, scope of work, and exclusions outlined in the contract and related industry standards.Conduct inspections of workmanship and materials.Administer the overall quality and assurance program.Act in all quality assurance and control matters for the Company.File reports and photo documentationAttend contractor QA/QC meetings and monitor issues and concerns noted in the meeting minutes.Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalismOther duties as assignedEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred1-3 years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in dam, reservoir, landfill, wastewater treatment plants requiredExperience and knowledge of Army Corp of Engineer projects preferredProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelSuperior analytical and problem-solving skillsOrganizational and planning skillsStrong oral, consultative and written communication skillsAbility to interface effectively with all levels of managementAbility to establish trust and interface effectively with Owners and CustomersPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone.
