Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - 180,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Acquisition Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• We require a bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• We require experience supporting U.S. Navy, DoD, or defense acquisition programs.
• We require demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering processes and the acquisition lifecycle.
• We require experience analyzing and breaking down operational requirements into system and functional requirements.
• We require experience with requirements traceability, verification, and validation.
• We require experience with system integration and/or System of Systems environments.
• We require strong technical writing, analytical, communication, and briefing skills.
• We require the ability to interpret complex technical information and convert it into clear engineering and acquisition documentation.
• We require the ability to communicate effectively with government program offices, engineers, acquisition professionals, technical stakeholders, and external organizations.
• We require an active Secret Security Clearance.
• Preferred experience includes NAVWAR, PMW programs, Navy C4I/C4ISR, or related Navy acquisition work.
• Preferred experience includes developing or supporting TEMPs, Test Plans, Test Objectives, Test Reports, or other acquisition-level T&E documentation.
• Preferred experience includes MBSE, Digital Engineering, or systems architecture tools.
• Preferred experience includes supporting SETRs or similar technical review processes.
• Preferred experience includes System of Systems integration and test planning.
• Preferred experience includes Navy acquisition documentation and milestone processes.
• Preferred experience includes direct support to Government Program Offices or Chief Engineers.

• We support systems engineering activities across the DoD acquisition and systems lifecycle.
• We analyze operational, mission, and capability needs and translate them into system and functional requirements.
• We develop, decompose, and maintain requirements and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• We support System of Systems architecture, integration, interface, and dependency analysis.
• We apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools as needed.
• We support systems architecture development, technical assessments, and engineering analysis.
• We develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering deliverables, briefings, and program status reports.
• We support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) and other acquisition-level technical reviews.
• We develop and/or support TEMPs, Test Plans, Test Objectives, Integration Test Plans, Test Reports, and Verification & Validation documentation.
• We translate operational requirements and CONOPS into testable requirements, objectives, and verification methods.
• We support integration, verification, validation, and test planning across multiple systems and interfaces.
• We evaluate requirements coverage, integration risks, test strategies, and verification approaches.
• We coordinate with government program offices, Chief Engineers, acquisition stakeholders, engineering organizations, test organizations, system developers, and other external partners.
• We lead or participate in technical working groups, engineering discussions, and requirements reviews.
• We identify technical gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and dependencies and recommend actions to government and program leadership.
• We support acquisition documentation and milestone decision activities.
• We prepare technical presentations, engineering assessments, briefings, and other deliverables for senior leadership.
• We perform other systems engineering and technical duties as assigned.

We are InfoTech, hiring for a full-time, in-person Systems Engineer III role in San Diego, CA supporting U.S. Navy C4I, C4ISR, and Department of Defense acquisition and modernization efforts.
