Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
• Perform triage assessments and support patients in the LDRP setting
• Circulate and assist during cesarean section procedures
• Deliver newborn care and postpartum couplet care to mothers and infants
• Collaborate with the obstetric care team to ensure safe, compassionate, family-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience
• High proficiency in LDRP, including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Postpartum Couplet Care
• Active Michigan RN License (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Active AWHONN certification
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
• COVID vaccine required (exemptions considered)
• Must have personal reliable transportation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• STABLE certification
• Experience in a high-volume family birth center environment
