Join Our Caring CommunityThe Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors to attend to all callers/visitors promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically work on routine and patterned assignments. Checking in and outpatients, insurance verification and data entry.Center Address: CenterWell Baytown, 6515 Garth Rd, Ste:150, Baytown, TX 77521Essential FunctionsAnswer phone calls using a Genesys system.Ensure accurate processing of all requests by taking appropriate action, such as scheduling appointments, taking messages, transferring calls to appropriate staff.Ensure records are maintained by documenting discussion, messages and actions taken to process inquiries.Resolve patient issues through independent problem solving and with a goal of first call.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred; however, candidates with a strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, call centers, or similar service-oriented environments will be considered.Must be proficient in the English language, including the ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, providers, and team members.Organizational, written and verbal communication skills.Ability to remain calm and helpful even when dealing with upset customers.Foster teamwork and partnerships with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and improve customer experience.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Preferred QualificationsBilingual English (read, write and speak) and Spanish.Experience in EMR systems such as E-Clinical Works, Epic, Athena Health, or NextGen.Medical setting front desk experience.Customer service experience.1+ years of experience in a customer service-oriented environment.Knowledge of and strict adherence to HIPAA.Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8am- 5pmBenefitsHumana offers a variety of benefits to promote the best health and well-being of our employees and their families.
