Automotive Service Technician - Hyundai Tempe - Starting Pay At $24.00

The Automotive Technician is responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of vehicles and providing high‑quality service that meets company and manufacturer standards. Responsibilities Stay current with the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced. Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Follow factory and dealership repair procedures when performing warranty work. Participate in service technician training programs and manufacturer–sponsored service trainings. Familiarize with the latest bulletins, service manuals, and other service publications. Record cause of failure and a description of work performed accurately on all repair orders. Communicate regularly with the service manager, service technician team leader, and/or service consultant to confirm repair order information, diagnostic details, and status of repair. Request parts from the parts department as necessary. Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2years of experience as a professional automotive technician. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual‑transmission vehicles. Manual dexterity, good judgment, and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely. Demonstrated customer‑service skills. Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance. Graduate of a mechanical vocational trade school or equivalent experience. Technical aptitude demonstrated by ASE certification or successful completion of a pre‑employment test. Technical or trade school degree is preferred.
