What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with checking credentials and/or visitor entry procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations.
• Perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location policies, maintaining professional presence and readiness for security-related response.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
