Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Orthopedic Physician Assistant Outpatient Location: Bronx, New York Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct Hire) Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, physical exams, and post-operative follow-up visits for adult and pediatric patients. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions (e.g., fractures, joint osteoarthritis, sports injuries, tendinopathies). Perform routine in-office procedures, including joint aspirations/injections (corticosteroids, viscosupplementation), fracture reduction, splinting, and casting. Order, interpret, and review diagnostic imaging (X-rays, CTs, MRIs) and electrodiagnostic reports. Formulate evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate physical therapy/rehabilitation care. Collaborate closely with attending Orthopedic Surgeons, physical therapists, and surgical support staff. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program. Active, unencumbered New York State Physician Assistant License. NCCPA Certification (PA-C). Active New York DEA registration and Prescriptive Authority. Prior clinical experience or elective rotation exposure in Orthopedics, Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, or Urgent Care is highly preferred.
