Systems Engineer LeadLead systems engineering efforts supporting intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber systems for Department of Defense customers. As a Systems Engineer Lead, you will:Lead technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and cost/risk analyses for complex intelligence, EW, and cyber systemsPerform requirements analysis, architecture trade studies, and capability mapping across tactical and enterprise C5ISR systemsDevelop technical baselines and system architecture documentation for defense intelligence programsLead functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies to translate customer requirements into technical specificationsCoordinate with government program offices to ensure system interoperability and integrationSupport systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle from concept through disposalResponsibilities:Lead interdisciplinary engineering teams in the development and integration of non-IT engineering systems including hardware, communications, cyber, electrical, and mechanical solutionsConduct system-level verification and validation activities including test planning, test execution, and analysisDevelop and maintain systems engineering artifacts including requirements specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), system architecture documents, and technical performance measuresSupport Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and program milestone reviewsPerform supportability and effectiveness analyses to optimize total system performanceApply systems engineering standards and processes per IEEE 15288, EIA 632, or DoD systems engineering guidelinesEnsure logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraintsSupport Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives, DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) product development, and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) compliance activitiesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior systems engineersInterface with Government customers, program managers, and cross-functional technical teamsQualifications:Required:Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (required)Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline10+ years of professional experience in systems engineeringDemonstrated experience with systems integration, verification and validation, and technical planning for complex DoD systemsStrong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes and methodologiesExperience with requirements analysis, functional decomposition, and interface managementKnowledge of C5ISR, SIGINT, EW, or intelligence systems architectureExperience with systems engineering tools for requirements management, modeling, or architecture developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform trade studies and technical assessmentsExcellent technical writing and communication skills with ability to develop technical documentationDemonstrated ability to work effectively with Government customers and cross-functional teamsDesired:International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) CSEP or ESEP certificationExperience with Army intelligence and electronic warfare programsKnowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML and tools such as Cameo or MagicDrawFamiliarity with DoDAF architecture products and developmentUnderstanding of MOSA, SOSA, and CMOSS open architecture standardsExperience with CMOSS/MORA interface standards and VPX architecturesKnowledge of DevSecOps, Agile systems engineering, and iterative development approachesExperience with AI/ML integration into intelligence systemsUnderstanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processesFamiliarity with Multi-INT integration conceptsKnowledge of cloud architectures and hybrid system designsPrevious experience supporting government program officesExperience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Cameo RequirementsUnderstanding of digital engineering and digital thread conceptsWhat You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
