IT Project Manager III

The IT Project Manager III leads large, complex information technology projects with organization-wide impact. This position is responsible for planning and executing projects involving significant complexity, cost, business impact, time constraints, internal and external resource requirements, and technology including software and hardware.

The Project Manager III leads cross-functional teams, proactively manages risks and barriers, and works with sponsors and senior leaders to deliver projects that meet established scope, schedule, budget, and business objectives.

This position operates on a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) however, with approval from supervisor, employees are allowed to work a 5-day work week if preferred. This position is hybrid, with remote work and in-office work as determined by business need.

Hiring Range: $120,000 – $135,000.00 USD Annual. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Essential duties include:

• Leading complex technology projects through planning, execution, and implementation.
• Developing and maintaining project plans that define scope, deliverables, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and resource needs.
• Leading and coordinating cross-functional project teams.
• Developing and managing project budgets.
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress, performance, schedules, budgets, risks, and issues.
• Evaluating and managing project change requests.
• Proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers.
• Developing and managing project communication plans and stakeholder relationships.
• Developing and coordinating organizational change management activities.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable digital accessibility regulations.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: 3 years of work-related experience.
• Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• *Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five or more years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience managing large, complex information technology projects.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex project challenges, manage competing priorities, and develop recommendations to address significant risks and barriers.
• Experience managing significant project budgets and external resources, including vendors and consultants.
• Experience developing and coordinating change management strategies and activities for significant technology implementations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Additional Requirements:

• Driver's License: Positions that require driving on County business in either a county or personal vehicle require a valid Colorado's driver's license within 30-days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.
