Job Summary
Unified Transportation USA LLC is seeking a reliable, experienced Class A CDL Driver based out of the McKinney, TX area to join our fleet. In this position, you will operate multi-state routes pulling specialty open-deck equipment ( Step Deck / RGN ) as well as Grain Hopper trailers. We are looking for a professional driver who prioritizes safety, cargo security, and punctual deliveries across state lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe operation of Class A tractor-trailers across regional and multi-state lanes.
- Haul specialized freight using Step Deck, Removable Gooseneck (RGN), and/or Grain Hopper trailers.
- Secure open-deck heavy equipment and specialized loads properly according to FMCSA regulations (chaining, strapping, tarping, and weight distribution).
- Operate agricultural and bulk commodity transport via Grain Hopper trailers (loading, tarping, unloading, and cleanouts).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic driving logs (ELD), trip paperwork, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Safely navigate ports, industrial yards, and agricultural facilities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to ensure timely delivery schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verified Class A CDL tractor-trailer driving experience required.
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- TWIC Card: Active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is a huge plus (preferred for port/secure terminal access).
- Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating and securing loads on Step Deck, RGN, or Grain Hopper trailers.
- Health & Safety: Valid DOT Medical Card; ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug screening and background check.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of DOT regulations, load-securing standards, and oversized/heavy-haul safety protocols.
