What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing access control points, and assisting staff, visitors, and authorized personnel with entry and identification requirements at a government location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials and permissions, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observe conditions related to access control and security-related operations, and document issues according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A current tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS and DHS COLA requirements.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
