Yzer Fleet, LLC seeking an experienced and safety-focused CDL Line Haul A Driver with a proven track record of transporting freight efficiently and on time over long distances. Skilled in operating Class A commercial vehicles, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Sunday-Thursday 9:30pm-6am and will vary depending on coverage needed

90% no touch freight, but may require use of a manual pallet jack

3 years verifiable exp required

Location: Holt MI

Pay Scale: $28.00 per hour

Hours: 40 standard, however additional hours will be necessary based on customer needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between terminals or customer locations, typically overnight or long-distance routes.

Perform thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.

Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.

Secure freight properly using straps, load bars, or other equipment to prevent shifting during transit.

Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other required documentation (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts).

Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal staff, and other team members regarding route status, delays, or issues.

Refuel and maintain vehicle cleanliness, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.

Follow all safety protocols and use PPE as required at terminals and customer sites.

Occasionally assist with loading or unloading freight, depending on route and customer needs.

Represent the company in a professional manner while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) Must be in good standing and issued by the state of residence.

Minimum Age Requirement Usually 21 years or older (may vary by company and insurance policy).

Driving Experience 3 years of recent verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience preferred (some companies may accept recent CDL school graduates for entry-level roles).

Clean Driving Record No major violations, DUIs, or preventable accidents in the past 3–5 years.

DOT Medical Certification Must hold a current and valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA Regulations Familiarity with Hours of Service (HOS) rules, ELD usage, and all applicable safety standards.

Ability to Operate Manual and Automatic Transmissions Depending on fleet equipment (some companies may require manual shifting skills).
