SCHOOL PUPIL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY COORDINATOR

School Pupil Transportation Safety Coordinator Salary: $4,618.00 - $6,003.00 per month. Location: In Office Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities Interview, fingerprint, and process applicants for all school bus classes. Conduct written and driving tests and issue temporary certification for drivers in special certificate categories such as School Bus, School Pupil Activity Bus, Youth Bus, Farm Labor Vehicle, General Passenger Para Transit Vehicle, and Vehicles for Developmentally Disabled Persons. Collect fees, issue receipts, and process all paperwork. Review accident reports involving regulated drivers and coordinate monitoring activities with other CHP areas and allied agencies. Minimum Requirements Valid California Class B Driver’s License with AP & S endorsements. Two years of full‑time experience as a school bus driver and one year as a school bus delegated behind‑the‑wheel trainer or as a school bus driver instructor/supervisor, certified by the California Department of Education. Must pass a drug screening, background investigation, and medical clearance prior to hiring. Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements and restrictions.
