Fleet Technician

Our client, a leading organization in innovative vehicle testing and fleet operations, is seeking a Fleet Technician to join their team. You will be part of the Operations Department supporting fleet management and test site activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fleet Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $30/hr. + shift differential

What's the Job?

• Support daily fleet operations at test sites to ensure vehicle readiness and operational efficiency.

• Hiring for 3 shifts

• Maintain vehicles through cleaning, charging, and system updates to meet regulatory standards.

• Assist with logistical tasks including organizing spare parts inventory and transporting equipment.

• Execute mission prep procedures such as software deployment, configuration verification, and data capture.

• Provide technical support during vehicle recovery scenarios and general testing activities.

What's Needed?

• 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in vehicle operations or related fields.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and standing for extended periods.

• Experience using tablets, software, apps, ticketing systems

• Willingness to travel locally and nationally (less than 30%).

• Strong problem-solving skills, safety awareness, and the ability to multitask effectively.
