Staff Pharmacist – Medical Cannabis Retail Travel Pay Package: Up to $3,400 weekly gross (Includes up to $1,575 in non-taxed travel/stipend allowances) Local Pay Package: Up to $3,320 weekly gross (Equivalent to $83.00/hour) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Staff Pharmacist to join our retail dispensary team in Virginia. This role offers an exceptional operational environment compared to traditional big-box retail—there is zero insurance processing, no incoming phone calls, and shifts feature strictly scheduled breaks. Operating in a high-volume, manual retail dispensary, you will manage end-to-end dispensing, verify patient legal limits, and maintain strict adherence to state compliance guidelines. This role requires comfort working independently during quiet operational stretches as well as collaborating with cross-functional retail specialists during peak hours. Key Responsibilities Manual Order Processing & Fulfillment: Pull products (flower, pre-rolls, vapes, etc.) directly from the inventory vault, manage item transfer to your workstation, and scan to validate orders prior to final dispensing. State Compliance Verification: Access state registries to verify patient purchase limits and ensure every transaction fully complies with Virginia regulations. High-Volume Manual Operations: Navigate a fast-paced retail environment with efficiency and accuracy without the aid of automated dispensing machinery (e.g., Pyxis, Omnicell). Solo & Team Operational Management: Confidently handle back-of-house operations independently during solo shifts, while coordinating with pharmacy technicians and front-of-house staff during peak volume. Facility Regulatory Presence: Maintain a consistent physical presence in the dispensing area to fulfill state legal staffing requirements, keeping the facility vault open and operational. Required Qualifications Licensure & Education: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Virginia, along with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. High-Volume Experience: Proven experience thriving in high-volume retail or community pharmacy settings. Manual Workflow Competency: Physical stamina and attention to detail to perform manual order fulfillment on your feet without automation. Independent Operational Ability: Capability to manage pharmacy back-of-house operations independently during stretches without dedicated technician support. Regulatory Compliance: Comfort navigating online state databases to verify patient legal limits accurately for every transaction. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in big-box or corporate retail pharmacy environments (e.g., CVS, Walgreens). Demonstrated track record of managing pharmacy workflows with minimal oversight. Schedule & Hours Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (4 days on, 3 days off). Shift Coverage: Standard operational shifts covering open to close. Operating Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Sunday: Reduced operating hours (5–6 hours). Predictable Schedule: 4-day work week providing 3 consecutive days off for work-life balance. No Insurance Hassles: Spend 100% of your time on fulfillment without managing third-party claims or prior authorizations. No Phone Duties: Focus entirely on dispensary workflows without answering incoming patient call lines. Guaranteed Breaks: Dedicated, strictly enforced break times built directly into your 10-hour shift. #J-18808-Ljbffr
