Shipping And Receiving AssociateThe Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, handling, storing, and shipping materials and products in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role ensures all inbound and outbound shipments are correctly documented, processed in the inventory system, and prepared for delivery while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards throughout the facility.ResponsibilitiesVerify inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation to ensure accuracy.Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, quantity discrepancies, or other issues and report findings promptly.Process inventory transactions within the computer system to maintain accurate inventory and stock records.Maintain stock levels of packaging materials and shipping supplies, and replenish as needed to support daily operations.Package, label, and prepare materials and products for shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.Build custom shipping crates using basic carpentry skills to protect products during transport.Deliver materials to designated locations throughout the facility in a timely and organized manner.Communicate inventory, shipment, or documentation issues to the appropriate teams to ensure quick resolution.Operate company vehicles as needed for supplier visits, post office runs, and other material transport needs.Adhere to all safety guidelines and 5S standards to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.Perform general material handling and stocking tasks, including lifting boxes and organizing inventory.Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance to support continuous operations.Essential SkillsPrevious shipping and receiving experience preferred.Experience with documentation related to shipments, such as purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.Proficiency in inventory control and basic data entry within computer systems.Hands-on experience with material handling, stocking, and lifting boxes in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and, preferably, forklifts (forklift experience is preferred but not required).Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles.Proven record of reliable attendance and punctuality.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency.Comfort working with shipping and receiving documentation and inventory systems.Basic carpentry skills for building custom shipping crates.Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments and updating inventory.Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams about inventory or shipment issues.Commitment to following safety procedures and 5S standards in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a clean, well-supported facility that offers a full cafeteria with hot and cold meals available for purchase and free access to coffee and cappuccino. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
