Medical Assistant Primary Care

Medical Assistant Corewell Health Virtual Primary Care is a modern, fully virtual primary care practice designed to meet patients where they areoffering convenient, accessible care that fits into even the busiest schedules. Our team of five full-time providers delivers comprehensive primary care services exclusively through virtual visits, serving patients across the state of Michigan. Despite being fully virtual, our practice provides the same scope of care as a traditional in-person primary care office. Through strong partnerships with in-person care sites and seamless referral coordination to specialists, we ensure patients receive hands-on services when needed while maintaining continuity of care within our virtual model. Our Medical Assistants play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers in this innovative environment. Responsibilities include chart preparation, patient registration, virtual patient rooming, answering phones, scheduling, referral management, in-basket support, and other administrative and clinical tasks that keep our practice running efficiently. This hybrid position combines remote work with on-site responsibilities at our Care Center located at 2750 East Beltline NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525, offering flexibility while maintaining connection to a collaborative care team. Training for this role will be on-site up to 4 weeks or more. After training, schedule will mostly look like this below (be aware that changes might occur based on department needs): Monday 6:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday Off Friday 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Required Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve.
