Posting Summary

Provide technical support and perform analysis related to implementation, operation, and ongoing enhancement of the CHWB Electronic Health Record system, personal computing devices, medical devices, peripheral hardware, and other related software systems. Collaborate with the CHWB IT team to continuously assess and prioritize service requests and IT projects, providing exceptional customer service and follow-through. Participate in department risk assessments, security audits and system reviews of security controls. Work effectively with administrators, clinicians, students, and other staff to optimize the value of the EHR in clinical work and in accessing system information for the purpose of optimizing the quality of care and the efficient use of resources. Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive Center for Health and Wellbeing for all students and staff. Support the mission and philosophy of the CHWB , Division of Student Affairs, and the University of Vermont.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• Bachelor's degree in a technology field or related field and three years of related experience
• Experience in desktop hardware, application and website support
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments, SQL , data analysis, data transmission methods, Windows and IOS platforms, and general web technologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
• Experience with outside vendors and interfacing systems
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective troubleshooting skills

All CHWB employees are considered Healthcare workers as defined in Vermont State Law. The following vaccinations are requiredfor all CHWB employees:

• Rubeola (measles)- two rubeola vaccines, two MMR vaccines, OR a positive rubeola titer
• Mumps- two mumps vaccines, two MMR vaccines, OR a positive mumps titer
• Rubella- one rubella vaccine, one MMR vaccine, OR a positive rubella titer
• Varicella (chicken pox)- two varicella vaccines OR a positive varicella titer
• Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Acellular Pertussis) a one-time only dose for adults
• Hepatitis B- a series of two OR three vaccines (depending on manufacturer), followed by a positive Hepatitis B surface antibody.
• Tuberculosis (TB) screening:
• A negative "two step" PPD or a negative IGRA blood test (QuantiFERON Gold)
• Note: if you have had positive tuberculosis testing in the past it is very important that you send any records related to testing and/or treatment, and the results of your most recent chest x-ray.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with health data, data queries, data visualization software, and electronic health records ( EHR ), HL7 and other health information exchange standards
• Experience with business process automation tools like Microsoft Power Automate and AI integration
• A patient, emotionally intelligent approach to supporting colleagues and clients
• Informational organization skills and experience writing clear, accessible, end-user documentation
• Ability to educate colleagues with a range of technical abilities, both one-on-one and in formal training sessions

Anticipated Pay Range


$70,000 - $78,000
