Immigration Attorney

Alex Hanna Law, P.A. is seeking a motivated and driven Immigration Attorney to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about immigration law and interested in expanding their experience in immigration litigation, courtroom advocacy, and complex case strategy. We are looking for attorneys who are eager to advocate for clients and take an active role in their cases. Immigration law experience is highly valued; however, we are also open to considering strong candidates with solid legal skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in developing a long-term career in immigration law. Our goal is to develop attorneys who can confidently manage and litigate immigration matters while providing exceptional representation to our clients. Position Overview As an Immigration Attorney at Alex Hanna Law, P.A., you will represent clients in a variety of immigration matters before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other government agencies. You will work alongside experienced immigration attorneys, paralegals, and case managers while gaining exposure to a diverse and active caseload. This position is ideal for an attorney who wants to strengthen their litigation skills, gain meaningful courtroom experience, and grow within an established and expanding law firm. Responsibilities Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other government agencies. Handle and litigate a diverse caseload that may include removal defense, asylum, family-based petitions, waivers, and employment-based immigration matters. Prepare for and attend immigration court hearings, bond hearings, USCIS interviews, and other proceedings. Develop case strategies and advocate effectively on behalf of clients. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal filings. Prepare clients for interviews, hearings, and court appearances. Review and approve filings prepared by paralegals and case managers. Communicate regularly with clients, providing legal guidance and case updates. Monitor case deadlines and ensure all filings are completed accurately and timely. Maintain organized case files and detailed case notes within the Firm's case management system. Stay current on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and policies. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality legal representation and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in any U.S. state; Florida Bar membership preferred. Immigration law experience is a strong plus. Experience handling matters before USCIS and/or EOIR is preferred. Strong interest in immigration litigation and courtroom advocacy. Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and legal support staff. Commitment to providing excellent client service and legal representation. Preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish.
