Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Step-Down (IMC) position at a Level II Trauma Center in Texas, requiring Epic proficiency and hands-on experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Step-Down / Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and mandatory
• Epic EMR required
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• IMC / Step-Down experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips — this is a hard requirement
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Current BLS certification required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Solid navy blue scrubs are required for licensed nursing personnel; print tops are not acceptable
• RTO is expected to be minimal for this position
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including location and dates, as part of the consideration process
