Coordinator, IT Asset Support Services (District) Houston, Texas, 3100 Main New Managerial & Professional 2600238 Requisition 8 hours ago Post Date Job Summary Supports the management and oversight of IT assets throughout their lifecycle across the institution to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, transfers, maintenance and compliance. Responsible for maintaining asset records and assisting with audits for hardware, software, and web applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain accurate records for all IT assets, including computers, network equipment, servers, software, and web-based applications, ensuring data integrity across the institution. Perform quality assurance activities by validating asset data, documenting asset locations, configurations, lifecycle changes, and incident-related information. Maintain comprehensive asset registers to support full lifecycle management activities, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, transfers, upgrades, replacements, and asset disposition. Perform routine, scheduled, and ad hoc inventory audits throughout the year to identify and resolve discrepancies, reconcile inventory records, and implement corrective actions to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance. Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports to provide insights that support operational, financial and compliance decisions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, College Technology Services and business units, to ensure timely updates, accurate reporting, effective asset planning, and alignment with established asset management processes related to upkeep, repairs, replacements and upgrades. Provide operational support for IT onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure assets are properly assigned, tracked, and recovered in accordance with institutional requirements. Assist in the administrative review process for software and web applications by supporting documentation, tracking, and coordination efforts. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support asset management reporting, resolve issues, and promote continuous process improvement. Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience Associate degree in related field required 3 years IT Asset Management experience required Experience in Inventory Management or auditing, data validation and reconciliation, asset acquisition, transfers, tracking, maintenance, and disposal/valuation preferred Experience maintaining asset database or systems of record for end user computer devices preferred Licensing & Certification Valid Texas Driver License Special Skills MS Office Programs Information Management Systems Project Management Skills Hardware Lifecycle Budget Management Competencies Delivering High Quality Work Accepting Responsibility Serving Customers Supporting Organizational Goals Driving Continuous Improvement Acting with Integrity Thinking Critically Managing Change Communicating Effectively Working Conditions General Office.
