Claris is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple and the leader in the workspace innovation platform space. We are advancing existing technologies and developing new and exciting products. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated developer who will be part of a small, dynamic, DevOps team.

The DevOps Engineer will contribute to internal and external-facing AI driven innovations. This hire will sustain and enhance software applications for licensing and fulfillment and automate setup and verification. We're looking for someone who is collaborative and thorough, who can build and automate software delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and stabilize all the environments to deploy to production when releases are ready.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to internal-facing and external-facing AI driven innovations.
• Sustain and enhance software applications per business logic and requirements for licensing and fulfillment.
• Build and automate software delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and integrate with unit and smoke tests.
• Help to stabilize all the environments and deploy to production environment when releases are ready.
• Set up various environments in public cloud utilizing applicable services from Amazon.
• Follow Apple Information Security requirements to engineer solutions in order to stay compliant in public cloud.
• Automate environment setup and verification including application specific software and components.
• Design and implement infrastructure and web application monitoring and respond to incidents.
• Work with Customer Support, QA, Development, Product Management and cross-functional teams to help with customer issues investigation and resolution.
• Work on-call shifts to respond to security and infrastructure incidents or customer issues to ensure there is no service interruption.
• Understand web-based security and help to design and implement solutions to prevent and catch attacks.
• Participate in DevOps project brainstorming, design, implementation, and test phases to deliver effective solutions.
• Participate and share progress through Scrum Ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Continue to learn leading edge technologies to evolve solutions.
• Report status, conduct demos, share knowledge, and help team members with workload.
• Rotate through Claris SAAS product support as designated DevOpsEngineer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science or equivalent
• 7+ years of proven experience in Development/DevOps/Infrastructure/IT area
• 5+ years of public cloud working experience. AWS certificate a plus.
• Hands-on work experience in setting up AI-enabled tooling/system or integration of such components
• Languages: Python, Unix shell scripts, Java Script
• Security framework: Public Key Cryptography, encryption, and Certificate
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD and Automation Tools: Jenkins, Terraform, and Helm
• Cloud Platforms: AWS

Preferred Qualifications

• Good organizational skills to complete and follow up with tasks and action items.
• Dedicated, innovative, accountable, and willing to take challenges and risks.
• Collaborative and thorough with attention to details.
• Bachelor's degree of Computer Science or equivalent, preferably master's degree.
• Hands-on working experiences in setting up AI-enabled tooling/system or integration of such components.
• Led infrastructure/architectural design and optimization, good with networking, impact analysis, optimization, and refactoring.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
