Job Description Job Description Actively Interviewing for Lab Technologist - Night Shift to join medical laboratory in Norcross, GA! Description Responsible to perform laboratory testing assigned to the department. Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively. Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel. Competently perform all assigned departmental duties. May perform Pre-Analytical tasks (receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing), CLIA waived tests, and moderate and/or high complexity testing on patient, donors, or biologic products using routine chemistries utilizing automated / semi-automated methods with internal support systems. Recognize and report unusual test results in a timely manner to appropriate management. Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits. Recognize equipment malfunctions and/or technical problems and take appropriate steps to resolve. Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry. Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels. Qualifications Bachelors Degree within the Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry. Experience working within a lab preferred. Can be academic or industry. Attention to detail Work Environment This position is an overnight position from Sunday - Tuesday with a rotational Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday with a rotational Wednesday from 7pm -7:30am. Training will be 4-5 weeks on the day shift (timing might vary). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norcross, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
