Northedge, LLC is a growing commercial drywall and metal framing company serving clients throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Our projects include healthcare facilities, higher education, mixed-use developments, and other commercial construction projects.

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Drywall & Metal Framing Estimator to join our team in Rural Hall, NC.

This is an in-office position for someone who understands the full estimating process—from reviewing plans and performing takeoffs to developing competitive proposals and handing awarded projects off to the operations team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, ceilings, and related scopes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid documents.
• Identify scope gaps, conflicts, project risks, and constructability concerns before bid submission.
• Prepare professional proposals with clear inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, and clarifications.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing as needed.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, scope reviews, and final bid reviews.
• Identify value-engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain historical pricing, labor information, and estimating data.
• Work closely with Project Managers and field leadership to review scope, labor assumptions, project risks, and constructability.
• Participate in project handoff meetings for awarded work and clearly communicate the estimate, scope, and assumptions.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial drywall and metal framing estimating experience .
• Experience performing takeoffs and preparing estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Experience with both ground-up and renovation projects .
• Proficiency with The Estimating Edge .
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Understanding of labor, materials, production rates, and construction methods related to drywall and metal framing.
• Ability to identify scope gaps and potential project risks.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work full-time in our Rural Hall, NC office .
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for site visits and pre-bid meetings.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of commercial drywall and metal framing estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience estimating healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, or other complex commercial projects.
• Equivalent industry experience will be considered in place of a degree.
