Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for second shift work at a clinical laboratory in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role involves receiving, preparing, and processing clinical specimens while maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis Scan and enter specimen and patient information into lab systems Perform equipment maintenance checks and troubleshoot specimen-related issues Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish test bench supplies Complete administrative record logs and follow all standard operating procedures Requirements Six months or more phlebotomy or clinical laboratory work experience High school diploma or equivalent Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills Pass standardized color blindness test Strong written and verbal communication skills
