About This Role The Offsite Registered Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Highlights Pay: $55 - $59/hour Location: Yonkers, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Department/Unit: Riverside Overhead - OFFS Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice. Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Provide direct, continuous care for a specific caseload of patients. Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and healthcare team members. Participate in performance improvement, nursing quality, and nursing research activities. Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and significant others to plan and implement care. Conduct discharge planning from the day of admission to discharge or transfer. Maintain clinical competence and be responsible for professional growth and development. Support the mission, philosophy, standards, and objectives of the institution and department. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing accepted if hired prior to January 1995. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
