Position SummarySenior Managers, Accounting will be responsible for managing T-Mobile’s accounting for securitization and factoring transactions, as well as accounting for customer bad debt. Oversee the monthly close process, various projects, business relationships, and system integrations. Develop and implement process improvements and integrate initiatives. Serve as part of accounting operations team responsible for ensuring that the financial results of T-Mobile are accurately presented to T-Mobile leadership under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Applicant’s experience must include:Experience with development, implementation, and maintenance of ERP systems SAP GL, and accounting securitization subsystems ABSS;Apply experience with transactional flow through various systems, including securitization subsystems (ABSS) through to SAP GL, and reporting systems, specifically BPC and Workiva, to monitor and ensure accurate financial results;Experience providing forecasting and statistical modeling review and validation, specifically as it relates to credit loss exposure and securitization; Apply experience with studying business drivers associated with credit loss exposure on consumer receivables, including consumer loans, and securitization, and their effect on financial results;Advanced application of accounting theory and current accounting issues related to credit loss, securitization, and loan accounting under both U.S. GAAP and IFRSExperience implementing and managing SOX processes within a public company with over $30B in annual revenues.PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business, related field or its equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience.ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have Bachelor of Science in in Accounting, Finance, Business, related field or its equivalent and 7 years of relevant work experience.Additional:Location: Bellevue, WATimeframe: Full-timeHow to Apply:Visit Create a candidate profile and apply to Requisition #167639BR.Position Duties and Responsibilities:Set team vision and provide leadership in alignment with the overall department and corporate objectives. Hire, coach, train and lead a high caliber and diverse team of 6 professional managers & accountants.Manage the monthly financial close processes over bad debt, factoring, and securitization areas. Ensure changes in business operations are accurately captured in the financial results of T-Mobile.Maintain knowledge of current accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements to ensure proper application in T-Mobile’s close and consolidation process. Perform technical accounting research, prepare memos and facilitate discussion with accounting leadership and the Accounting Policy team to reach alignment on accounting treatment.Apply experience of accounting theory and current accounting issues related to credit loss, securitization, and loan accounting under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and disclosure schedules in accordance with T-Mobile accounting policies (both US GAAP and IFRS).Ensure appropriate controls are in place throughout certain areas of accounting responsibilities.Ensure quarter-end review and year-end financial audit processes are effectively supported and any issues are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner.Communicate regularly with operational business partners to identify issues and areas for operational improvement, share knowledge about financial trends and upcoming changes.Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, drive process improvements and implement best practices.Apply experience with development, implementation, and maintenance of ERP systems, specifically, SAP GL, and of one or more accounting systems subsystems, specifically, securitization subsystems that feed into accounting systems, including ABSSApply experience with transactional flow through securitization systems (ABSS) through to SAL GL, BPC, and Workiva, to monitor and ensure accurate financial results.Participate in enterprise projects related to credit, collections, and consumer loans to ensure appropriate requirements are developed based on solid understanding of the impacted systems and the transactional flow and validating regression testing performed by testing teams.Apply experience providing forecasting and statistical modeling review and validation, specifically as it relates to credit loss exposure and securitization.
