Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room position specializing in ortho trauma, neuro, and robotic surgeries.

Details

• Hospital Operating Room setting with a 13-week assignment
• Shift schedule follows a 5/8 pattern from 0630-1500
• Handles ortho trauma cases with extensive neuro surgery involvement
• Supports robotics procedures across multiple specialties
• Requires experience with radical neck ENT procedures
• On-call duties required
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• License required if applicable
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start for licensed professionals
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons by preparing the operating room and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures
• Perform pre-operative setup of sterile equipment and patient preparation
• Provide intra-operative support including passing instruments and assisting with tissue retraction
• Complete post-operative duties such as applying dressings and preparing specimens
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
• Serve as a coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that could affect pay rate
