Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Services in New Haven, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and support for a secure environment. - Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a distribution or retail operations location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor or contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
