MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI scans and assisting in patient care. This position requires a commitment to high-quality service in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Perform general MRI scans including head, neck, abdomen, and extremity studies (excluding cardiac).
Administer IVs as necessary for imaging procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care and scanning procedures.
Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Average Number of Scans/Studies per Day: 14
Charting System: EPIC

Qualifications

Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT MR) is mandatory.
Prior experience in MRI preferred.

Scheduling

Shifts consist of three 12-hour days per week, with on-call requirements one night per week and every 3-4 weekends.
Weekend and holiday availability is necessary.
Self-scheduling and block scheduling available.

Additional Information

This role requires professionals to be present on-site for a designated orientation week.
Professional color scrubs are to be worn; scrubs may be provided by the agency.
A registered radiology assistant is not utilized in this department.
In-house radiologists are available during day shifts (not overnight).
